Attendance Policy

If you miss more than two (2) rehearsals for any reason, one or more of your performances may go to your understudy or alternate in that role. Known conflicts should be discussed with your rehearsal director at the costume fitting / parent meeting; unexpected conflicts as soon as possible. Keep in mind that any absence, including sick days, count toward this “2 miss rule”. All rehearsals at the Civic Center during the week of the performances are mandatory! Final decisions are made by the rehearsal director and the Artistic Team.

Rehearsal Basics

Be on time and in the correct location. Performers should be picked up promptly after rehearsal. Every effort is made to stick to the schedule that is designed at the time of the Role Offers. There are, however, situations where changes must be made. Parents please wait outside for dancers to help us with social distancing.
Please confirm your schedule online the day before rehearsal.

Personal Appearance

Dress in proper dance attire – girls in leotard and tights, boys in black jazz pants or tights and white t-shirts. Wear shoes appropriate for your role. Hair should be pulled back from the face. Masks are required for all participants at all rehearsals at all times.

Rehearsal Conduct

Rehearsal directors expect the performers’ undivided attention. Successful performances require all dancers to stay focused at all times. Performers waiting in the rehearsal room must remain quiet. Loud talking, eating and cell phone usage disrupts rehearsals.

Rehearsal Rules

  • Keep track of your belongings – names on shoes and apparel is essential

  • Dispose of trash in proper receptacles
  • Food may be consumed in the hallways ONLY, NOT in dancing areas or dressing rooms and NEVER in costume
