Nutcracker 2016 was performed at the Des Moines Civic Center on Saturday & Sunday, December 17-18, 2016. This year marked our 20th year of performances at the Des Moines Civic Center with whom we gratefully share our continued partnership. View photos below.
Our guest artists were Catherine Wootten as the Sugar Plum Fairy and Michael Agudelo as the Cavalier. We featured 221 dancers representing 37 studios, rehearsed by 20 Rehearsal Directors and Assistants from Central Iowa. Our Artistic Team consisted of Elizabeth Adams, Janice Baker, and Ami Yaro.
