Nutcracker 2018 was held at the Civic Center on Saturday, December 15th at 2:00pm & 7:00pm and Sunday, December 16th at 2:00pm.
The Sugar Plum Fairy Tea Party, a pre-performance party full of delicious snacks, storytelling, and meeting a Nutcracker cast member, was held at 12:30pm on both Saturday and Sunday.
Our Guest Artists this year were Dylan Gutierrez and Julia Erickson.
Iowa Dance Theatre’s Nutcracker is choreographed and directed by a team of dance professionals from Des Moines and the surrounding area. This collaboration is at the heart of fulfilling IDT’s mission. This year, our Nutcracker cast featured over 250 dancers from 36 dance studios from throughout central Iowa.
